Background

Red Clover, formally Cote Financial Planning, is an independent financial advisory and investment management firm. It offers its clients a personalized, holistic approach to financial health that is accessible, no matter where life takes them.

The How

DISCOVERY

The first step in the process was meeting with Red Clover to understand where they were starting from and where they wanted to go.

After our meeting, we were able to devise two main goals:

  • To differentiate them from their competition

  • To increase lead generation

Once we determined these goals, we began to audit their brand. Then we brainstormed how to achieve Red Clover’s goals.

PUTTING IT INTO ACTION

We made several recommendations from our brand audit and brainstorming to align her brand, marketing, and business goals.

New Branding

Red Clover needed a new, unique name to avoid confusion with a similarly named company. We workshopped together on the naming process and what to consider. They then came up with Red Clover. Once the name was set, we created a logo and tagline that connected the health benefits of a red clover to the business’s value proposition of happiness-driven, holistic financial health.

Website Redesign

Once the new branding was set, it was time to focus on generating leads. Part of why Red Clover struggled with this was due to their purely informational website, also known as a brochure site. So, we completely overhauled it. We created an actionable website equipped with SEO and conversion points. We also made it mobile-friendly and optimized the user experience.

Brand Tools

We also created branded office tools and templates to allow them to internally develop sales and marketing materials that aligned with their new brand.

The Results

We measure success through results. For this project, we looked at how much growth happened after the rebrand and website redesign.

MEETINGS

We looked at the number of meeting requests in the first two months after the rebrand–Red Clover received more calls in the first two months than the last four years combined.

What’s Next

What’s next for Red Clover? Thanks to the rebranding efforts and lead-generating website, they’re currently focusing on building internally to match the speed at which they’re gaining new clients.
